What does it mean to be a member of MEEOA? As described in the MEEOA Constitution, there are two categories of individual membership: professional membership and associate membership. However MEEOA has added the Program/Agency/School Membership to help TRIO programs network with each other and communicate. What are the different forms of membership? Associate membership - $5. Great for high school students, undergrads and graduate work-study. Associate members are an important part of MEEOA but they may not vote or hold office. Benefits for Associate Members: networking opportunities throughout the yearProfessional membership - $25. Great for TRIO professionals, Teachers, Counselors, etc. Professional members are vital to the success of the Association. Each active professional member is entitled to one vote and is eligible to hold office. They also receive countless benefits. Benefits for Professional Members: discounts to the Annual MEEOA conference, networking opportunities throughout the year, special invitations to MEEOA events such as the Hall of Flags, executive committee updates and E-newsletters, the ability to hold office and vote on important issues, and access to MEEOA professional development fund.Program/Agency/School Membership - $75. Great for college access programs in Maine (TRIO or non-TRIO).
