MEEOA Statement On Recent Events The Maine Educational Opportunity Association is made up of programs and staff who work with disenfranchised students from all sorts of backgrounds. In particular, the TRIO programs were founded as part of the civil rights movement of the 1960s, the continuation of which can be seen in recent protests. We stand with our black students and colleagues, and hope that today’s protests can help to lead to a safer future. |
