MEEOA Membership
What does it mean to be a member of MEEOA?
As described in the MEEOA Constitution, there are two categories of individual membership: professional membership and associate membership. However MEEOA has added the Program/Institutional Membership to help TRIO and GEAR UP programs network with each other and communicate.
What are the different forms of membership?
Associate membership
Great for high school students, undergrads and graduate work-study. Associate members are an important part of MEEOA but they may not vote or hold office.
Price: $20.00 per year.
Benefits for Associate Members: Networking opportunities throughout the year
Professional Membership
Great for TRIO and GEAR UP professionals, teachers, counselors, etc. Professional members are vital to the success of the Association. Each active professional member is entitled to one vote and is eligible to hold office. They also receive countless benefits.
Price: $40.00 per year.
Benefits for Professional Members: Discounted registration to the annual MEEOA conference, networking opportunities throughout the year, special invitations to MEEOA events such as Advocacy Day, executive committee updates and e-newsletters, the ability to hold office and vote on important issues, and the ability to apply for MEEOA professional development funds.
Program/Institutional Membership
Great for college access programs in Maine (TRIO or non-TRIO). This may include UB, SSS, Talent Search, EOC, VUB, UBMS, GEAR UP, MaineCan, MELMAC, etc.
Price: $40.00 per person per institution per year. This is an allowable grant cost, and therefore can be paid for with grant funds.
Benefits for Programs/Institutions: This level of membership provides the same benefits as professional/individual membership, with the added benefit that it is an allowable cost that can be paid for with grant funds. You can also stay in touch with our advocacy efforts on behalf of MEEOA and COE for your program, and we can provide a direct link from our website to your program's website.

How do I join MEEOA?
You may join MEEOA or renew your membership by using our online membership system. Simply enter your email address, and then fill out the membership form that will appear on your screen. You will receive an email invoice after submitting the online form. Simply print the invoice, and mail it with your check to the membership chair, or use the PayPal link at the end of the process to pay online with your credit card.
