TRIO & GEAR UP Advocacy Day

Date:

March 7, 2024

Location:

This event will be held in-person at the State House in Augusta.

Time:

8:30am - 11:30am

Goal:

To increase legislative and fiscal support for college access in Maine through sharing TRIO student success stories and establishing working relationships between TRIO professionals and civic leaders.

Your Advocacy Day To Do:

• Identify students that are ready and willing to speak about the positive impact of TRIO and share some of their personal story.
• Charge up your laptop/phone/video thing-a-ma-gig!
• Get fired up.
• Contact legislators serving your project's district and invite them to join the rally. Click here for House members, and click here for Senate districts.
